The primary purpose of a TICO inspection is to ensure that a travel agency and/or travel wholesaler is operating in compliance with the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05. The inspection process is a key way TICO holds registrants accountable for how they conduct business and helps to maintain consumer confidence in the travel industry.

TICO inspectors are a valuable resource for achieving compliance and are happy to answer questions and provide guidance as part of the inspection process.

To ensure you are prepared for your inspection, please review the guidelines listed below and contact your inspector in advance of your scheduled visit if you have questions. It’s expected that you have all relevant statements and documents ready and available for your inspection.
