Registrar Bulletin: Fee Consultation Update

Earlier this fall, TICO conducted a consultation period with registrants and other stakeholders on proposed changes to TICO’s fee model and funding framework. The consultation concluded on October 15, 2021.

TICO acknowledges the ongoing strain registrants face caused by the pandemic.

Following the recent consultations with stakeholders, and considering all feedback, we remain committed to engaging with the Ministry of Government & Consumer Services on a future funding model consistent with our consumer protection mandate, while recognizing the impacts of a prolonged travel recovery.

While we have not reached a conclusion on this recent review, our commitment remains to provide all registrants with ample notice prior to any outcomes. We will keep you apprised accordingly.
