October 5, 2026 - Charged: Hoa Van Ngo operating as Itravelhop
Mississauga, ONT. – The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has charged Hoa Van (also known as Kevin) Ngo, operating as Itravelhop, with one count of operating as a travel agent without being registered.
Hoa Van Ngo, operating as Itravelhop, was previously charged with two counts of operating as a travel agent without being registered in 2023, and subsequently convicted in 2024. At that time, he was fined a total of $25,000 inclusive of a victim surcharge and ordered to pay $4,570.69 in restitution. During sentencing, the Justice of the Peace noted an extreme disregard for the regulatory environment by continuing to operate as a travel agent without being registered.
Hoa Van Ngo will appear in court on October 20, 2026, at 9 a.m. at 950 Burnhamthorpe Rd. W. in Mississauga, Ontario.
Individuals convicted in Court of offences relating to the Travel Industry Act, 2002 are subject to fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years. Corporations are subject to fines of up to $250,000.
