 – The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has charged Sonia Guillermo, Jerome Peralta, Amalia Lim and Leila Per with one count each of operating as a travel agent without being registered. At times, they used the name Wintours Budget Travel.

It is alleged that the charged individuals advertised and sold tour packages on social media, without TICO registration.

Sonia Guillermo, Jerome Peralta, Amalia Lim and Leila Per will appear in court on October 13, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Old City Hall, in Toronto, Ontario.

Individuals convicted in Court of offences relating to the Travel Industry Act, 2002 are subject to fines of up to $50,000 and/or prison terms of up to two years. Corporations are subject to fines of up to $250,000.
