  • World Travel Inc.
1 claim to assist 2 consumers, totalling $3,300

In addition, the following claims were denied:

  • Crystal Cruises
1 claim was denied and 1 claim was partially denied as payment was made directly to Crystal Cruises and not to or through a TICO registrant.

1 claim was denied as the claim was based on the cost, value or quality of the travel services received.
  • Fly Jamaica
1 claim was denied as it was received beyond the legislated filing deadline date.

The Ontario Travel Industry Compensation Fund is wholly-financed by the industry to protect consumers who do not receive the travel services for which they paid, due to the insolvency or bankruptcy of an Ontario-registered travel agent or travel wholesaler or due to the cessation of an end supplier airline or cruise line. The Fund only covers consumers who have booked through an Ontario-registered travel agent. The Fund is administered by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario, a not-for-profit corporation.
