As the travel industry continues to evolve, TICO is enhancing the Education Standards Program for individuals aspiring to become Travel Counsellors and Supervisors/Managers.
Launching soon
In February 2022, TICO, in partnership with our education provider Oliver’s, will launch a new digital flipbook study manual for the Travel Counsellor and Supervisor/Manager certifications.
The new manual will have updated content to reflect changes in legislation, as well as a more modern appearance and user experience.
Effective Monday, February 28, 2022, TICO exams will be based on the newly revised study manual.
Next phase
In the future, TICO will launch new, fully interactive online education and continuing education programs that have a strong focus on having students apply the program’s regulatory content.
Enhancing the education program will strengthen travel professionals’ knowledge as they enter the industry, which in turn will benefit the consumers they guide in their travel purchases.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
All students who are currently registered for TICO’s Education Standards Program have received information about the transition process to the new study manual and exams.
The deadline to write the Travel Counsellor and Supervisor/Manager exams using the current study manual is Sunday, February 27, 2022. After this deadline, students will automatically switch over to the new study manual and exams.
