(Mississauga, Ont.) – Following the Travel Industry Council of Ontario’s (TICO) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 26th, the Board of Directors named Brett Walker as the new Vice-Chair of the Board. Brett is the General Manager for Collette Vacations, Canada. The Vice Chair appointment is for one year until TICO’s next Annual General Meeting to be held in 2019.


At the AGM, Robert Townshend, founder of Total Advantage Travel and Tours, was acclaimed as an elected Director. Robert will serve a three-year term, replacing retiring Board member Tisha Saunders. 
 

Nicole Bursey was named by the Canadian Association of Tour Operators (CATO) to be part of the TICO Board, replacing Denise Heffron who is also retiring this year from her position as Director.

TICO’s AGM was held at the Corporate Event Centre, 5110 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, Ontario.
